Precision Hatchery Infrastructure and Design

Our hatchery is the biological starting point for every harvest, featuring a high-standard, controlled environment for egg incubation and larval rearing. The setup utilizes specialized tanks and Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) to provide the perfect conditions for young fish to thrive. This dedicated infrastructure allows us to maintain a consistent supply of healthy fingerlings year-round, independent of external environmental changes.

The Foundation of High-Quality Fish Stock

The foundation of a successful fish harvest begins with a high-standard hatchery. At Hansal Agro Sdn Bhd, our hatchery is designed to be a precision-controlled environment where the earliest and most vulnerable stages of fish life are managed with expert care. By controlling every variable from spawning to fingerling development, we ensure the strength and quality of our stock before they enter the grow-out ponds.

Core Components of the Hatchery

Our setup utilizes a combination of biological science and modern engineering to maximize survival rates:

Broodstock Management Tanks

These specialized tanks house our mature "parent" fish. We maintain strict control over water temperature and photoperiod (lighting cycles) to simulate natural spawning conditions and ensure the production of high-quality eggs.

Incubation & Hatching Units

Once fertilized, eggs are moved to specialized hatching jars or trays. These units feature a continuous, gentle flow of oxygenated water to prevent fungal growth and ensure a high hatching success rate.

Larval Rearing Systems

Newly hatched larvae (fry) are kept in highly sanitized "nursery" tanks. During this stage, we focus on meticulous water quality management to support the transition from yolk-sac absorption to active feeding.

Water Treatment & Filtration

The hatchery operates on a dedicated Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS). This includes mechanical filters to remove solids, bio-filters to neutralize ammonia, and UV sterilizers to eliminate harmful pathogens without the use of harsh chemicals.
